IntraCoastal Construction Expands Site Work Capabilities with New BOMAG Equipment
Fleet Investment Strengthens Grading, Compaction, and Site Development Performance
North Charleston, SC — IntraCoastal Construction, a leading site work and civil construction contractor in the Lowcountry, has expanded its fleet with the addition of a new BOMAG BW211D single drum compactor. This investment enhances the company’s ability to deliver high-performance site development, grading, and earthwork services across the Charleston region.
The BOMAG BW211D is designed for heavy-duty compaction on soil, subgrade, and road base applications, making it a critical asset for large-scale site work, roadway preparation, and infrastructure projects. Its performance improves compaction consistency, production efficiency, and long-term site stability.
“This is about continuing to invest in the foundation of what we do,” said Joe Valesko, Principal at IntraCoastal Construction. “In site work, compaction is everything. The BW211D gives our team the capability to stay efficient while maintaining the quality standards our partners expect on every project.”
The equipment was evaluated in the field by Logan Hivner, General Superintendent, who identified its impact on production and performance across active job sites.
“This machine gives us more control and reliability on compaction, especially on larger site development projects,” said Hivner. “It’s built for production, and that helps us keep jobs moving while delivering the level of quality we expect from our crews.”
IntraCoastal Construction continues to invest in equipment, field operations, and infrastructure to support its growth as one of the fastest-growing site work contractors in the Lowcountry. With expertise in land clearing, grading, stormwater management, underground utilities, road construction, and hardscapes, the company remains focused on delivering consistent results and reliable schedules for developers, general contractors, and municipalities.
